Best Buy Vs. Circuit City

I came to a realization today. Recently the company "circuit city" closed down. There is a circuit city (CC) about 4 minutes from my current house. Now right across the street is a best buy(BB). Now why did the CC company close down and BB stay open. Why did i decide many years ago that i liked BB better than CC and would only go to CC if i couldn't find what i was searching for at BB. They both sell basically the same products and have extremely similar layouts. So what is it. Color. Simple as that. When i think about the stores in my mind, CC is predominantly red in their logo and therefore in their store decor. I get rushed, angry, and harsh thoughts when i think of the CC store. When i think of BB the image of the floor is the same yet it is bathed in a calm soothing blue. I don't think i am alone in feeling this way and it translated, even subconsciously, to more people choosing to go to best buy. Then when the economy turned down and more and more people had to cut back on extraneous spending, CC lost to much business to pull through the slump.
